In 1996 Dennis and Carly Schindler began to make old fashioned candy caramels, crème syrups, chocolate/caramel pretzels, and lollipops for specialty shops. “Carly Schindler’s” quality products soon became known as the finest in the state of Utah.

During 2004 John Call purchased the company from the Schindlers and changed the name to “Mrs. Call’s Candy Co.” He then teamed up with a colleague who had 30 years experience making and marketing quality old fashioned candy. Together they improved their “stand-up” caramels using an old recipe which dates back to the 1920’s. They came up with a caramel that would knock people’s socks off. The key to delicious old fashioned candy caramel is the use of fresh, pure, heavy whipping cream, butter and other fine ingredients. There are no preservatives, hydrogenated oils, or harmful ingredients in Mrs. Call's old fashioned candy.

The demand for our old fashioned candy has been so great that in 2006 we had to move the company to a larger building in Heber City, Utah. They acquired better equipment in order to make more old fashioned candy caramels and chocolate/caramel pretzels. This also has allowed them to better serve their customers. With their new building and equipment they are ready to accommodate considerably more business throughout the entire United States and internationally without sacrificing quality and service.
